Is there away that we can download them and save them to an external harddrive. Also I have the Windows 7 SP1 dvd sent to me by microsoft what does it contain. I use to be able to find an article listing all the security updates in the Service Pack but I cannot find. How long does it take to update the service pack. I tried it on Sunday May 12, and it did the following: It installed then it stated it is installing - there it sat for 4 and half hours a bar filling up with a green shade just sat there.

I tried it twice the second time was for 5 hours and still it did the same thing. I know the file is 4. How long does it take, clearly it is not one hour to update.
